Arash Farboud, the man who created the car that spawned the Farbio GTS, has today announced details of his latest supercar venture, the AF-8. Priced at £120,000, the AF-8 is the baby brother to the AF-10 - a smaller, more user-friendly car than the hardcore hypercar. Though both cars will use the same GM-sourced 7.0-litre V8, the AF-10 will use a tweaked version with 550bhp, while the AF-8 will use the unit in standard Corvette Z06 tune.
Subaru will show this European-spec Impreza five-door at the 2012 Geneva motor show, as well as the BRZ sports car in European trim. This is the fourth-generation of the Impreza, but traditionalists expecting a return to the four-door saloon format will be disappointed: it remains a five-door hatchback bodyshell. Subaru abandoned its distinctive four-door style for Golf-alike hatch style in the last generation.
The new VW Touareg starts at £38,225 in the UK
We got the reveal of Volkswagen’s big off-roader - the VW Touareg - in the run up to the Geneva Motor Show back in February, but it’s taken the intervening months for VW to get their act together enough to get UK prices to us and model details. But now they have. Prices kick off at £38,225 for the Touareg SE 3.0-litre TDI 240 PS whilst the hybrid model costs s very un-green £54,995, just £1,500 less than the Altitude V8 4.2.
